Other forms: eau de parfums
Eau de parfum is a concentrated fragrance that people wear to smell nice. It typically contains 15–20 percent scented oils by volume, giving the blend of scented oils a scent that lingers for several hours.
Fragrances are categorized by their concentration of scented oils versus fillers like alcohol, which disperse the scent. Eau de parfum, which means "perfume water" in French, is the second-strongest of five scent tiers, sitting just below perfume (parfum in French) and above the lighter eau de toilette. Because it contains a high percentage of oil, eau de parfum offers a rich, enduring scent that is slightly more subtle — and often more affordable — than perfume.
